Default one screw on pinion alright for now?

I stripped one of the two pinion screws on my 10t long pinion. I can't get it out, nor tighten it. The other screw is fine. Can i run on one screw for now (taking it easy) until my new pinions come in next week? I noticed some pinions have one screw, while others have two so i'm thinking it'll be aright?

yes you can use just the one screw...just tighten it down on the flat spot on the motor shaft..

That's another problem. The screw that's stuck is on the flat spot :( i can't spin or remove the pinion gear.

try and find a small flat head screw driver......get a hammer, set the pinion down so its resting on like a wooden bench, hit the screwdriver into the set screw a couple good hits, and try and un screw it.......thats a old school way
