Tire are your biggest effect on side hills. Have the right foams that prevent the tires from rolling under the truck can make all the difference.

Axle width is another big one.

Then comes center of gravity.

Sometimes the truck may sidehill bad because the shock springs are to soft the axles lift and unload when put to the test.

I would start with balancing your 2.2 the best you can. Then add or remove weight when necessary.

Probably get the COG as low as possible.

post us up a pic or 2, static and max flex

If that pic in your Avatar is your rig, you have way too much flex

I'm pretty sure that is a pic of his rig in a state of disrepair.

Like the others have stated, get your weight as low on the rig as possible.

I liked to run stiffer springs and heivier oil in the rear of my linked 2.2.

What type and cut do you use on your foams?

IMO. you have too much pinion angle on your axles, the king pins in the at the knuckles need to be nearly vertical with each other, mainly in the steering axle, it is causing tire scrub and loosing lots of steering.

to do that you need to shorten your upper links by about 1/4"

also Id lay the shocks down a tad also that will lower you CG, and make the suspension less likely to unload while on the steep side hills

Front axle looks to be level, rear axle is tilted to get the yoke up out of the way.

is it rolling or slipping when side hilling? groove and sipe your tires, mashers are not the greatest at side hill stuff stock out of the bag, oh yeah, lose the star cuts also, they just make it hop in my experience, the right foams make all the difference

A foam setup that I like for sidehilling is to leave the sides full heighth, and cut a channel down the middle, I believe Rockwerks runs the same cut of foam, and has posted a pic of it on here somewhere, I don't have any pics of mine. My new kreepy foams work well at sidehilling too, but not quite as good as my custom cut ones, but the kreepy's are better in a lot more situations, so I have kept them in the tires

My SW3 has 3.5" of center clearance, 10 1/8" wide front and 9 5/8" wide rear, and it sidehills like mad. I believe most important is COG, and then foam/tire combo. Springs and shock oils can affect it as well, but COG is the most important IMO.

Here's a pic of how far mine will go on it's side
