I only see three tires touching in that last pic

Looks good so far. You going to do a gear reduction unit on it? I started a venom project, but I am debating whether I want to keep it going or not. How'd you mod. the steering servo?

Hey frontie, just use some normal hexes from a touring car and mod those. Much easier. That's what I did.

If you want some nice rubber, check this out:

3" tall, so not too tall, not too short.

EDIT: pic was way too big

The axle shaft of the vmg is a 4mm diameter shaft with a flat spot ground down on it. Since all the touring car shafts are 4mm as well, these things slide on real easily. You could also mod the shaft with a hole and slip a pin through it and slip the hex down on there. Just have a steady hand and make sure to get it centered.
