I just installed the PTI GRU with a small outrunner motor.. now I've got in my drawer a Mamba Max ESC, receiver. Still looking for batteries (thinking of Lipo/Stick Batts). Any ideas what size the black pinion bundled in? Is it a 48pitch 16T ? Can someone show me some GRC naked pics of how u place the electronics Thanks |

OGM, What brand 2-cell lipo's are you using in these photos? What are its overall measurements? Do you know if different brand 2 cell lipos vary in size, or are they all the same dimensions regardless of the brand? Also, do you think a 2/3A pack would fit in the same location as yours is shown in the photos? (Maybe I should ask, how many 2/3A cells would fit in this location?) Would 2/3A cells installed in this location interfere with the suspension links or the CVD driveshafts during suspension articulation since these cells are thicker (I think) than lipos such as yours? Do you think a 3 cell lipo would be overkill powerwise for this truck? If so, what component of the truck do you think would probably fail first? Last edited by BeeRC; 12-13-2007 at 01:32 PM. |

I believe these lipos come in varying sizes. Quite a headache to find the right one too. Am considering a 3S lipo to run my Mamba Max, and today, i found a Korean 3S1P (11.1V) battery at 110x35x25mm size at 2250mAh with 21C discharge rate. I think this will fit the top just nice and still leaves about 3cm length to mount the ESC (using PTI's new stick battery plate) I can't place any batteries under the plate, it will interfere with the upper links. |
