Anything is gonna break if you constantly beat the crap out of them, But the delrins are gonna stand up to (alot) more abuse and get more flex out of them.. You wont know until you atleast try them out

I like your idea alot. I'm trying something similar using a main delrin leaf and one or two smaller original Bruiser leafs.

The delrin leafs do not hold up. I have broken two of the MSD prototype delrin leafs and the previous owner of the truck had broken one. That makes three total and they were broken even with a traction bar installed to control axle wrap. They also had one metal High Lift spring under them to give them support. One broke with a stock brushed motor, while the other two broke with a brushless crawlmaster. Granted I am running 3S lipo, R2 trans, and Maxx drive shafts but I am not senselessly abusing them. They did not flex better than well modified metal leafs either. I would avoid them.

Default delrin leafs

I have been running a set of delrin leafs for about 6 months now.only on the front axle and running a 5 turn astro flight motor on a 9lb. truck.
Not one single problem.I cut them out myself and they are a little thick and do not flex much more than metal, but they do not bend up like metal.
I think alot of the delrin springs out there are too thin and people are expecting too much flex out of a leaf spring.just my 2 cents.

i did a little testing today with some friends. this trucks weighs about 8lbs.
i wa getting the truck to do wheelies at some points. i have my new delrin leaf springs in the rear. they held up good. no axle wrap and lots of flex.
there are 4 leafs total per wheel. i put so much torque that the drive shafts came off the yokes. delrin would of never done that.

i will still do more testing
