Default AX10 betty = scale brush fire truck??

I was thinking about selling the betty body I got with my ax10 kit but I thought it might be cool for a scale brush fire truck. What do you guys think??

Thanks, it maybe alittle while before I get to start it. I may go ahead and paint the body but I am finishing my tube bronco right now and then I have a hilux body that I am probably going to put on an AX-10 w/ xtrail chassis and then I will start this one. It is mearly an idea right now but since it seems to be something that would be interested and not many have done I do plan to build it.

I think the brush truck is a good idea. Here is my wood truck.

It is going to be a cold winter.

LOL.. it maybe a while for mine as well. Hopefully not but I have a hilux toyota ahead of it and I am still not done with my bronco tuber so well see how quick I get to it. I think I am going to go ahead and paint the body in the next week or so.

Do you have any pictures of the bed and how you narrowed it and put it back together. I did this with my bronco body but want some ideas of how to put it back together when I do my next body for the bronco.

metal rivets! I used plastic and they eventually pop out on a hard tumble, but metal rivets would work great. No glue no mess. I used plastic ones and some CA on my betty body.

I want it to look as much like it was made that way as I can. I just can't see it looking like that with rivits on it.

What time are you getting to 4WP tomorrow??

I use aluminum rivits with a washer to back them up. I just used the bullet hole stickers to hide the rivits.

Great idea, was thinking the same thing with the betty body. x-trails chassis, and diamond plating the back panels, front and rear bumpers. The wheels you showed look cool too. Post some pics if you do this project. -RCHuffer
