I dont deep 6 my brushless but the brushed motor will do fine in the water, just need to water proof the ESC, servos, and receiver. Should be fine other than that. |

A good place to get water proofing ideas is OSE offshoreelectrics which is a electric boat site and in the forum section there is a ton of tips in the tip and trick section on top of the board and has everything you would need to know from people that submerge expensive electronics all the time. Just a thought.

motors dont really need it believe it or not. if its dirty water, it will cause issue over time. but you really dont need to dink with it to much for waterproofing. just be sure to have a good maintenance plan for afterward that involves blowing the motor out very well and cleaning with electronics cleaner, and re lubing as required by motor manufacturer.
