I got mine at Hobby Lobby. They're just not very strong. We used one during a tug-o-war and it came apart.

Hobby Lobby and Michael's or any place that sells jewelry supplies. It is not strong but looks very realistic. To age it just hit it with a torch to change the coloring...

I was curious of jewlery type necklace chains. I was wanting them for decoration on my scaler anyways. Thanks guys for the info!! |

I followed the wife into claire's cheap crap jewelry store the other day and saw some nice looking chains that were hot pink and orange. A little bit of laquer thinner and you'd have an alright chain for actual pulling. The stuff is about 1/8" across a link, so in scale we're talking about freaking barge anchor chain. It's really not all that huge, it's cheap, and it will hold any static load a crawler can put on it (yanking may snap it though). Or just leave it orange for use as safety chain (the orange pulling chain you can buy at atwoods). |
