| im building my first rig and have a question
i do have a question, im in the process of building my first scale rig, or first ever to be exact. i have a team integy 65t motor in it now with stock tlt trans and tlt axles, whats gonna give me more torque (hardly has enough right now)? a different motor or a better battery?

Are you sure you don't have enough torque?? I am not familier with tlt axles or tranny but man...a 65t motor should have enough torque to snap axles and twist drive shafts with ease unless your gearing is just completely out of the ballpark. What kind of gearing are you running and what are you using for a batter? |

Cuzican said it. 65t is crazy. I am putting a 35t hand wound in my rig and it will have plenty of torque. I think most guys run 35-55t with great results.

The TLT trans is crap. Unless you have upgrade it, the belt is slipping. Traxxas trans, or just about anything else would be an improvement

its gotta be because of the stock trans. i bought it off ebay, i also didnt know if it was cuz of the 2.2's that are on it (i plan to go with 1.9's and a scale frame). i plan to upgrade the trans to a stampede trans. the battery is just a plane 6 cell rc battery, nothing fancy. should i upgrade to a lipo as well?
