Default winch questions

first off, can a 3 racing winch be controlled from a controller? and if so what kind of controllers are you guys using for your winch?

and second how did you hook them up? a diagram or picture would be very helpful!

You nedd a 3ch tx/rx. You can either run it straight off a SEPERATE battery OR You get a pig tail connector.

i had looked at some of that, but a picture is worth 1000 words. with the 3 channel traxxas controller work with the red switch on the handle?

It needs to be a 3 position 3rd channel. So unless you mod it, no.

just opened it up to take a look. the red switch has 3 wires, a black (neutral) grey and white, can anyone tell me the purpose of the extra wire, and which one would be the positive?
