Default Yeah Racing Shocks

Has anybody tried the Yeah Racing 90mm Threaded Aluminum Racing Shock Set on a Honcho? I am building a steel cage and using a Hilux body and I am for a little better performing shock than the stock.

Or, any other recommendations? I also thought about the Axial Aluminum SCX10 shocks, ProLines Power Strokes (Damn they are pricey) or Traxxas Big Bores.

The honcho climbs great with the mods, but I am adding a lot of weight.

Goat 3S 18.5
Summitt 2 Speed
3S Lipos
Hilux Hard Body
Steel cage, sliders and bumper

So, I want to make sure I can maintain the ride height and still provide the same level of shock function.

couldnt you just use stiffer springs? no sense in buying new shocks, if its gonna be heavier youll just need a higher spring rate id imagine, the scx10 shocks are good and if your talkin about the anodized ones i think theredirt, i bought a set and couldnt even get the rubber in the shock cap to seat properly, there a cheap crappy shock

I've had 8 of them (6 90mm and 2 80mm) and love them. You can buy a set of 4 for the price of a pair of PowerStrokes. As for the comment above, not sure why you had issues.

They come with 3 spring rates. My truck weighs about 6lbs (estimate) and I use the soft ones. The soft springs, 50wt, and 2 hole pistons is the magic setup for me And they don't leak a drop.

They flex just as much as the Axial's, if not a smidge more. The PowerStrokes only flex like a Axial shock WITH the rubber spacer.

You can check out my Bronco build in my sig if you want pictures.

Ive used them on a lot of my scalers and love them, price is perfect and they are very smooth.

I used a set on my Big Tex FJ with Associated buggy springs as a dual rate setup

And current all 4 on my Yota George with RC18T springs
