Default Starting from scratch ?

Guy's I have been away from scale for awhile and was wondering dollar for dollar what is the best way to get back in the game? Which kit offers the best bang for my buck?

Get the SCX-10 kit that way you start off with the upgraded links not the plastic ones, and as an added bonus you get to pick better electronics.

Thumper hit it right on the head.l It may seem cheaper to get an SCX10 RTR in some flavor. But the kits alow you to choose electronics that will be quickly changed out. Just look at any build thread on here and see how many people have rtr electronics in their rigs. They die quickly or are swapped out for more adequate performing ones very soon.

If you do not like the look of the kit Scx10 (non honcho) body (most don't) I would probably go for the Honcho kit. It is a pretty cool setup and comes with alot of extras the base scx10 kit does not come with. And it seems to seel for only about $50 more. A body alone will cost about $30.

another scx10 vote. Heck of a platform to start with, with tons of aftermarket parts options. Seems like most bodies are tailored for it as well. I guess the only downfall would be it takes more to come up with something different since so many start with it.
