Default Ulitimate gear and wheel speed calculator program

I am a college student and i have been assigned to do a final project and build my own program. I am going to build a scale rc crawler gear ratio and speed calculator. Interested......

It will have drop downs for popular spur, pinion, trans, tranfer case, axle ratios. I will also have a spot for motor speeds and battery types and charges. (John I hoping for some help from you here)

The speed calculator will have drop down for various popular tires

I have seen this done before but they never include the stuff us scalers need.

Anyone with known axle ratios trans ratios, transfer case ratios post them

After the project is done I will upload it here for all to use!

Let me know what you think and help me get the needed data.

I need:

tlt axle ratio
tamiya axle ratio
tamiya trans ratio (i know 3 speed)
anyone still using traxxas trans setup? send it if you want it in there
the new 2 speed trannys (traxxas and rc4wd)

Later i could work it to a comp formula too

Thanks

Thanks been at it for an hour already got it half coded. I hate programming. I just have to take the class for my major. I still need to coded the various ratios. which means I'll have a day or two researching the info.

Project is due in two weeks, I plan to have i a link up here on RCCRawler before then. Maybe raw at first.

i have been looking for something like this calc in my thread....

gear ratio calc..........

i see some online calc's where you input your gear tooth count, you might want to see if you can have one like that....where you can input spur/pinion gear input from motor to tranny input shaft....then where you can input top and bottom gears in your tranny into another area....then you would have one for transfer case gears, and then another area to add ring/pinion gears in your diff....this way it is all kinda custom inputs instead of using exsiting tranny ratio's....did i kinda spell it out what i'm trying to say ....i'm sure it can be done because i see all kinds of calc's now that use one or two user inputs to get various numbers, but a calc that links all the above inputs needed to get what one is looking for....in my thread i know what math needs to be done to get what ratio's i'm looking for....but i don't have a machine i can hook my motor up to so i can find what RPM's it has, then i can do the math shaft RPM going into and out of each drivetrain item....i just don't have the brian thought to run excel the way i might get it to work for what i'm trying to get .........bob

I guess I missed this before.

Are you still working on this, or did you get it finished by the due date?
