Default 0lllllll0 HMMWV Humvee 0lllllll0

Next project on my plate is a military HMMWV Humvee.

It will sit atop an SCX10 chassis.

Here are a couple of pics of where I am at so far;

Default Looks good.

Great start. Are you going to build a turret? It would be great incentive to drive well!

Yeah, I think that is the way I am leaning.

This might be a slow(ish) build, I am trying to piece it together as money allows.

Got a few more things done on the Humvee this weekend. I finally got the paint stripped off of it. About an hour of labor and 2 bottles of acetone free nail polish remover and some rags and tooth brush and it pretty much all off, I'd say I was able to get about 98% of it off. I still need to sand it down so I will get the rest of the paint off then.

I got the shocks, pinion gear, drive shaft rings and motor mounted.

I have bought an FXR esc and a Hitech 645 servo and some other stuff I dont even remember, just waiting on that stuff to arrive.

Anyway here are some of the progress pics.

Ok, got some updates and some good progress.

I got everything mounted up and connected! She's ready to run!!

There are still things I want/need to do, I still need to cut the frame rails and things like that.

Yeah I like the way it came out.

The FXR didnt hit, it still had room, but I did move it anyway.

Thanks

So I got a chance to take it out today! Ran good for a while until the drive shaft set screws came loose. I took it back home and loosened all of them and blue lock tight'd them and then it was good to go.

Here are some pics of today.

So I've done a few things to the Humvee.

I got a set of rock sliders from Dave(@tw!ll) at DH Fab! This guy does incredible work and has awesome customer service! Thanks Dave.

I made an antenna and painted the lights.
