| What to build? Looking for ideas.
OK guys and gals. The build bug has bit me yet again. And I have no idea what to build. I am looking for ideas! I finished off my JK build a while back... and it took what seemed forever to make it not just another JK on the trails. I do not want to build a Hilux, of XJ.... I am just out of ideas. Maybe a Tundra truggy or something along those lines. I was also considering a Jeep Brute. I dunno. As of right now all I have are some axial axles and tranny. The rest I will be to start working on gathering. For a chassis I was thinking of going with the GCM Cross Canyon chassis. http://www.tcscrawlers.com/GCM-Cross...o-p-18395.html Anyone out there have builds/ experience with them? |

What about a Ford Centurion Bronco? I have not seen a RC version before. A Black foot extreme body would be a good starting point. |

How about building a Chicago junk truck. These things are everywhere around here. I can't believe the cops don't impound some of them. Not a great COG though! |

Maybe a Subaru Brat. I saw one that the body was dropped on a Jeep Wagoneer chassi (1:1). It was in the extras of an old(er) "Suburban White guys" dvd, "Third and Reverse". It was pretty cool and on 35's or 37's I think. Amc v8 and D44 axles locked with a 15,000 pound winch. I think Tamiya has a Brat body available. May sound silly but the 1:1 was pretty cool and it would be easily done if you can get the body. I think I have seen them on RPP's site. This is a pic I just took with my phone with the dvd playing on my comp screen so you would get the idea. Hard to come up with something that hasnt been done. I have not seen a Brat yet. |

That is nice. And I think Proline has some lexan body's that are very similar and would be much easier and cheaper to find. I have seen some cool rigs with that style of cab and flat beds or tow truck setups. WarPig did a crazy one back in the day. There is a build thread on it somewhere on here. Maybe not the exact cab but similar old school truck body and his results were just crazy.
