| Diaz Designs rear pivot scale truck
what do you guys think of this. it's just in the design stages. might cut one out of plexi today.. the rear end pivots to allow for more flex. |

This is my Cracker Jack Box Engineering Degree talking, but it may have a tendency to torque twist pretty bad...

yeah you would need a way to lock and unlock that feature, as it would hurt you in some instances, also dampening would be a good feature as well.

nice concept, but that may add torque twist. if you lower the pivot point the axle will have more of a twisting action then a side to side action

i think the servo idea is a good one but then you are locked, with no free float...

How would the driveshaft connect to it? I would thenk when it pivots, the driveshaft would restrict it. Or is this a chassis for a clod?

you would still ahve the leaf springs for the travel and the servo when you need more flex. adjustable suspension.

thats a good idea, what if you attach a shock so when the chassis is level the shock is at 50% travel, it would limit your torque twist and limit how fat it articulates. just an idea also wouldnt the hole have to be centered? |
