Default How to "Dent" a Lexan Body??

Hey guys.

I'm looking for some information about how to simulate a "dent" on a Lexan body??

Basically, I want to make a body look beat up. I'm going to be weathering it, adding some rust, and things like that. I'd really like to be able to have a few dents on fenders and such.

About the only thing I've found is to heat the Lexan up a bit and then push it in to make the dent. Is this the best way to do it?? If so, would I use a direct heat source like a lighter to heat it up or something else??

Thanks.
Jeff

Never mind guys. I forgot that I suck at the search here on RCC, so I used Google and added RCC to the search and it came right up with a thread here on RCC that answers my question.

A lighter would probably get the lexan hot rather quickly and melt it. I would try a hair dryer on the lexan for heat control. JMO,

Lighter works great, done that many times never had an issue. Even works on painted body's. I find the google RCc search does work better.

Just did this type of thing to a lexan ford body. I just moved the lighter around the are I wanted bent then pushed in with my finger. Worked great.
