Default Hauler

I have aquired a Ford F150 hardbody from a friend that owns an RC shop here in HAwaii and i want to turn it into a hauler to pull around my crawlers. I think its froma Blackfoot but the bed looks alittle longer...Im not sure. I have many ideas on what i want to do to it.. What chassis should i use?..I was thinking of an XC chassis. Will it fit?...LMK...

I would biuld your own frame.Aluminum frame rails seem to work good?there cheap and can be bought at any hardware store. You could cut the bed off and make a big flat bed.It all depends on what you want.Mabe search around.Find some cool looking 1:1 scale rigs you like and try to base it off that.Pic would be good and good luck man!

Thanks Trost!!..Im planning on pulling a trailer with it...wheather i make it or not i dont know, ill concentrate on the truck first. Im planning on using Jakks Boggers wich should give it a really cool scale look. In not sure if i want a to fab a ladder frame chassis or use an XC or pajero. I dont have either so we'll see...

Either the Blackfoot or King Blackfoot will fit just fine on an XC. The Blackfoot Extreme (with the Jeep-like grille and hood scoop) has a slightly longer bed, but should fit if you use the rearward axle mounting points and long driveshaft from the Touareg kit.

Goat's XC F-150 (got my own thread) my XC KBF

Or you could go this route.I built a stakebed for a Bruiser project that I sold off.It took sometime but it was pretty much to scale.
I only wish I had Goat's talent to fab up the roll-back tow truck.Awesome rig,Goaty.

Sorry for the crappy pics.
