Default Trail critters! Post yours!

Getting "out" there we find some cute creatures. Here is the latest one on a local trail run.

Dang this makes wish I had gotten a pic of the baby rattler I was standing 3 feet from for about 5 minutes, he didn't rattle or even move the whole time. Might have been about 12 inches or longer with a quarter sized head, coiled under a small ledge that's my best guess. The real way see how old one is to get his rattler going, which I did for a few seconds but not enough to put him in a bad mood. 2 little baby rattles *which means that one was about 10x more likely to inject a very lethal dose of venom than mid life or adult rattle snake.

Good times! I'll be sure to get a photo of any creatures we come upon.

BTW: Demodude awesome spider, looks about 6-7" long?

Prob about 5-6", and harmless if bitten. Feels like a bee sting, however, some varieties have stronger venom. I didn't have the balls to pick her up even though I had gloves on!

Ok, I've been holding out on you guys, lol not really, but, I forgot I had a video of "her". I call it "her" because I've seen larger ones in the area.

Found this critter actually last year, glad I still had it in the photobusket.

About the girth of my thumb and twice as long.

I think so? Not sure how to tell. There were quite a few out and about, that was the big boy though.

Posted this long ago, but this is a good place for it.

Fish roughly ~3" long caught in Wraith wheel from the creek.
