Default question about yota axle

hi guys, I have a question about the rc4wd cast yota axle. im building a hilux drifter using a cc01 (well half a cc01) chassis with a yota axle in the rear. I want to know how well it will hold up to higher speed use, I am using them in my 4x4 and are holding up pretty good, rebuilt once after many hours of play but It wasn't going all that fast either. has anyone has experience with using them at high speed? any tips? what I might expect to break or replace?

here are some pics so far, no where near finished but will post more when im done.
cheers!

I wouldn't think you'd have much trouble out of the rear yota axle, as long as the gear mesh is setup right. Nuttin really in the rear to break, you might consider the helical gears though. But still, the gear mesh of the ring and pinion are gonna be the key to a worry free rearend lasting.

You may need to shim the rear axle gears apart from that should be fine.

awesome! thanks guys, I will look into the helical gears I was considering them for my 4x4 but will wait and see how the original gears hold up. nice to know its a good strong axle! cant wait till its done will be interesting to see how a 2wd live rear axle drift car will handle lol should be fun though.
