Is it possible to connect it to a channel on my remote I use to drive the car if I plug it into the servo?

Yes you can...you just need the wired controller...

Just ordered this winch, with the wireless controller. Also ordered a new Hitec 7955 servo (wich runs max on 6v). I will use a bec for the servo. But can i use a second bec, set up to 9v, to power the winch?

I drive on 2s.

Or is it easier to just buy a 3s pack, to power the winch only, and how many mah i should be thinking then?

I feel the Warn 9.5 performs best @ 11.1v - 12.60v ( 3s LiPo )

^ obviously that's too much voltage to run thru an RX.

And so either wire into a 3s LiPo, used as primary, directly
or use a 3s stand alone for powering up the Warn.

I wire into my primary 3s 2200mah, but I also run duals wired parallel...
So that nets 4400mah combined.
No shortage of MAH for my circumstance.

MAH (capacity) will depend on how long ya want the winch to run
and if ya have the room on board the chassis to fit a 2nd battery.
I personally would think a smaller, lighter (stand alone) LiPo
should do... and be able to be stowed on board.
800 - 900 MAH, 3s should probably be sufficient.
But smaller and lighter is better if battery capacity is not necessary.

Honestly... I only use my winch on occasion.
well... at least after the newness wore off.

less voltage = slower line speeds and less pulling torque.
So IMO 6v will not be enough for the Warn 9.5.

I also recommend the Heyok wireless controller over the RC4WD unit.

While the RC4WD wireless controller gets it done
and handles 12v use...
It is sub-par when compared to the Heyok wireless controller.

If ya want the max line speed and torque possible from
the Warn 9.5...

The Heyok wireless controller is the key and 100x's better

The Heyok key fob has a protector sleeve that slides
down to cover the control bottons.
So they can't accidentally be pressed.

The Heyok incorporates a "line hold" feature
that will increase line hold strength
and lessen the probability that it will spool out under weight/load.

The Heyok wireless controller makes the Warn 9.5 winch
a more serious contender as far as winch operations.
As the winch will pull and hold more weight ( 10lbs )
And line speed will be increased if the voltage is 11.1v - 12.60v

In other words...
I don't regret spending the extra coin to obtain the Heyok controller.

I've since retired my RC4WD wireless winch controller...
and it just hangs out in my spare parts box as back up.

Thanks for your reply, just ordered the (wired) Hey ok controller to use on my spare channel. Will run the controller on a separate 3s lipo battery.

I have ordered the winch but was torn on the controller. Is the heyOK one really that much better?
