Default Highly detailed Scale body for SCX10

Just picked up the jeep unlimited c/r and want to swap to a more detailed scale body. What is available in this wheelbase size?

Wanted a Land Rover but not sure I want to shorten the wheelbase that much. Same thing with a Cherokee which I like but it really doesn't have enough detail

What options do I have aside from s jeep or newer style pickup?

Shortening the wheelbase allows for a less breakover angle, thus making it less of a chance to get hung up on the skid plate. On the flip side, it will make the RC more tippy, as well as causing more extreme driveshaft angles that could bind. It's easy to fix that though.

Which SCX10 do you have? There are different wheelbases depending on model. Plus if you make(or buy) links you can adjust the wheelbase to fit whatever body you like (within reason)

The Jeep Unlimited C/R it has a 12.3 wheelbase.

Like the Defender 90 body but would have to shorten my wheels base by almost 2 inches

its actually a bit over an inch. The defender body is close to the dingo wheelbase. Alot of scale bodies are around the 11-11.5 range. Like the Tamiya f350 and the Hilux, etc

I have the dingo and the honcho which are axials shortest and longest wheelbase scx10's and both have strongpoints but I kinda like the short wheelbase for having a better ground clearance when both are set at the same height coming over a ledge the longer honcho is more likely to hang up..I think the best wheelbase would be the g6 which is in the middle of these 2..just wanted to let you know the short wheelbase has its advantages I think and as for steep hills I have had no issues with short wheelbase...
