now that it finally started snowing here, I seen this picture of a Model A Truck with a sled front end and a tank tracks for the rear wheels. if I could fabricate it would a cool R/C to play around in the snow.

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...

I think someone made a ski set for 2wd buggys and trucks. You might find some on ebay. Or you could modify some rc aeroplane skis.

A set of RC4WD Predator tracks for the rear and you are ready to go.

I had a pair of them R/C Buggy Skis many years ago that you're talking about.
Had them on a RC10 Gold Pan/Tub Chassis. ~ I don't know what Co. made them ?
They looked really cool on the buggy, And they worked fairly well in the snow.

The pic shows the skis on a Tamiya Grasshopper

Theres a few manufacturers for the front ski setup. You will find them on Ebay for Traxxas Rustlers and Stampedes (2wd version). Your only hang up would be the rear track drive. I imagine you could utilize a set of the Integy track systems they make for the SCX and modify it to fit but it would definitely take plenty of fabbing to work.
