E6000 is not good for styrene. It melts it before it dries. I used it several times doing the styrene parts for my tomb raider defender build. Not saying it can't be done. But it takes perfect timing. But yes, its much stronger than shoo goo. |

I've never tried e6000. But I stick my mirrors on with good ol-fashioned super glue, with good results. Keep in mind, I'm not dragging mirrors across every obstacle either....err, trying not to. When the mirrors pop of, I lightly sand the old glue off both pieces, and stick 'em back on... Lately, I've been cleaning the lexan with window cleaner before I glue them, and it seems to make a world of difference. |

E6000 serves many purposes... I glued some steel rings to my diff center chunks beat them to death in 'da rocks... still holding. I've used it to adhere styrene to lexan never had an issue and holds well. The key is over-lapping the two parts together so that there is enough surface contact for a good bond. scuffing and cleaning the surfaces of oil residue improves bond. Good thing is... it remains flexible after setting. |

I used contact cement from a dollar store. Works great. I can't tear it apart.
