| Scale chassis materials
Well my tuber is coming along nicely but I am running low on funds for electronics and wheels and tires, shocks and my Traxxas yolks for the Pede and the TLT axles are on order and will not be in till mid feb. So that being said I was thinking of creating a scale ladder type frame. Brake tubing is cheap but can this stuff be considered scale in anyway? If it can not be considered scale then what is a good material to make a ladder style frame? I know I can probly purchase completed frames but I like creating things myself. So far this is what has been on my build bench for the last bit. http://new.photos.yahoo.com/snorat02...60762384681207 |

I've always just used 1/8th inch steel cut and ground to shape. |

Yes it is nice isn't it. It belongs to my family. My parents bought the hand scribed logs for it about 12 years ago and that is what it ended up looking like when we finished it. It is located on Pine Creek at the Northwest Angle on Lake of the Woods in Mn. Full appraised value is right around 300K. I no longer fish etc and only make it up there once or twice a year but it is more then likely going up for sale as my my parents are splitting up. My father is living in it right now as he moved out of the house back in Sept. The fishing is great up there with great snowmobiling etc in the winter. That tube frame looks interesting but I was thinking of cutting out flat sheet etc and welding/brazing them together to make a box frame or C channel frame. I have some 22 guage steel and some thicker stuff sitting here doing nothing. | |
