| My Unimog
Hi Guys, this is my scalish Unimog. It sports some left-over touring car axles and a Bruder cabin: here in a early state, no lights and the side marker lights still out of blue plastics... the linkage for a good steering rear lights lights and other stuff installed. The Wheelbase is a hair over 8 inches. the front headlights are made of a piece of clear plastic from a CD-cover, the lines are scratched-in with a knife. The rear lights are made of u-shaped Aluminium profile and the ribbed glasses are the side walls of the same CD-cover, coloured with glass-painting colours from my wife's hobby-box. some LED's stuffed in and ready. The rims are Tamiya Hummer rims. Let me know if you like it... Markus |

| some more info
The tires are from a german company, called CONRAD ELECTRONIC. They are similar to radio shack, but they mostly work on mail order, just a few shops. I do not think you can get hold of them in the states. The Tamiya hummer rims have to be modified like this: the inner sections "ribs" have to be removed, so the rubber will not stick out to much: Here are before / after pic: The detailing is coming on, I keep you updated. Right now I am working on another project, but this will be shown in another thread in 2.2 category within a few days... Last edited by yeti69; 02-04-2007 at 08:08 AM. |
