Default Gluing tires - What brand is best?

What is everyone's tire glue preferences? I picked up some crap "thin" tire glue from Hobbytown today and almost destroyed my wheels/tires. It reacted weirdly and turned brown on contact.

I'm trying to mount some Proline Destroyer tires on some Proline Brawler wheels.

AKA has worked great for me.

Bob Smith Industries as well. They also make "Insta-Set" and "Un-Cure" products that work great. Insta-Set is a life saver for mounting tires and or building custom tires.
If you notice at some stores like HobbyTown, they just sticker slap their sticker over BSI bottle labels.

That's not a glue problem, that is the mold release agent on the tires fouling the glue. You need to clean the tire beads to get all that stuff off or it is going to ruin your glue job regardless of the brand.

X2, I like Team Losi thin for tires, but use beadlocks for crawling.

For modifying tires I like to use the BSI IC-2000

For standard tire gluing, I've always had good results from
BSI and Proline thin glues

I second the BSI IC-2000.

Further, ALL BSI glues are superior to the typical store-bought CA's. I always thought CA's were the same regardless of packaging. The BSI stuff is SUPERB

P.S. I have no affiliation w/ BSI. Learned how good it is after using it. Now I use no other brand.

I won't say it's the best, but it's the best I've used: BSI Ultra Cure. I have a way of gluing myself to tires if I go any thinner than that, and the thick stuff doesn't seem to have as strong of a bond (or it's just my imagination?) BSI is also local to me, but I'd been buying his products for years before I realized that.

Of course, the dollar store mini tubes of super glue are handy in a pinch, but using the Ultra Cure has proven considerably easier and more consistent for me.

I have been using E3000 industrial adhesive on tires for years. It holds very well and the best part is that you can just peel the tire from the rim if you ever need to separate them. Unlike super glue where you'll need to bake them or use solvent to get them apart.

The E3000 will be perfect for your 2.6 wheels/tires. I race Clods and have used this method on all of my race trucks and never had an issue. Bonus, you can reuse tires and rims later as the adhesive will just peel right off with no mess.

I just use the medium CA that the hobby shop sells. I forget the brand. I'm not sure if it's the "best" or not, but I haven't had a single tire separate from a wheel yet.

Thanks to all! I'm so nervous about screwing up my new tires and wheels that I can't get myself to sit down and get it done. That ends this evening. Here it goes...
