| WPL C54 FJ80 Land Cruiser build
This new body is awesome! I couldn't wait to get it, and I was shocked when I recieved it in 5 days!! I thought this would take weeks to get to me from china, but when I checked the box it had a shipping label from California. So maybe WPL has a USA warehouse now?? I dont know... and I don't care. I did a quick video of whats in the box and how the body mounts to a C24 frame: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-hZp5O2Vwis Here are a few pictures of the body mounted to my C24 frame. The body sits too high if you ask me. There is way too much fender gap with stock WPL size tires. Also this C24 has a 2 speed gearbox that hangs down real low, and because the interior is so close there is no room to move the gearbox up :( |

I decided I would mount some larger tires I had, and see if that helps with the fender gap. These tires came off of a toy R/C i found at a thrift store. I was saving them for a special occasion I think I found my solution to the massive body lift & fender gap In this photo you can see just how tall the C54 sits now, next to my other C24 build. Now I have to goto the auto parts store and find the paint I need to paint this body.... |

Looks good. I prefer the first wheel/tire combo and yes, that body needs lowering. Maybe eliminate the 2 speed trans and go for the c34 transfer case (1 speed)? I’m not a big fan of station wagons but this LC, I’ve always liked. Going for a factory color look? |

Here is what the truck looks like with no springs installed: It looks a lot better this way if you ask me. I am going to be tinkering with the suspension to get it to sit just right. The colors I am going for are Silver & Metallic Dark Grey two tone. | |

If you want it to sit at that height you will likely have to tinker with the body, not just the suspension. Only so low you can go before pinion angle/caster start to become an issue.
