Default Stiffer high lift internal springs?

This probably hasn't been looked into much yet, however, I thought it was worth a shot asking. I am running high lifts shocks on the back of my clone and the wait of this rig is slowly creeping up and starting to sag it. I don't want to use regular shocks because they aren't very scale so I was wondering if anyone has found a stiffer internal spring for the high lift shocks? I took one to my LHS and a mini t was to big, not sure about the new micro T, I'm not even sure if they make stiffer springs for that yet. So has anyone sourced any stiffer springs like that?

-Mike

I've been looking around at the hardware store for the same thing, I found a few that would fit, but they are all really soft.

what about doubling up the springs in the shock? might be too stiff then though, if 2 would even fit. not end to end but side by side and push em into eachother.

mike try ballpoint pen springs,i tried the ones from a bic pen all you gotta do is stretch them out then force them in. oddly enough they worked pretty good. Kinda bouncy but i think with enough damper grease in there, it should work. BTW, it's the grippy pen, the spring is about 1" sprung and 1/4 compressed. If you stretch it to about 2, the diameter gets smaller too. just try it pretty cheap. i also found some stiff as hell springs that are about 4" in length, i threw away the packaging though.i found 'em at ACE, yellow package by the screen door crap. i use them for my progressive rate droop setup in my 2r2 txt.

In a different thread someone mentioned buying springs from a gunsmith. Aparently springs are available in many sizes and strengths.

Believe me I know ALLLLLLLL about that, I worked as a tech in the dealer for 3 years and had to replace them under warranty when people would have a Beotch fit

I dunno it these will work but the VMG springs might work, there smaller in diameter than mini-t and but longer.. if you buy the upgrade kit you get 3-4 different spring rates

Why not use different strenght Pan car shock springs .... the L series I think have smaller shocks and can be used inside of the high lift body.

Kind of defeats the how scale factor...

RC4WD has some new, scaleish shocks with internal springs... perhaps they can hook you up with some, if they are comparable to hilift springs.

Yea, im not putting touring car shocks on it...

For now, I have double up the high lift springs, seems to work but limited the flex slightly... Still fully tucks the the tire though
