Pretty easy process.

1. The casting resin
2. Since I'm making a winch and a skull, I'll need 15mL of resin (10mL for winch, 5mL for skull). Here I've measure out 7.5mL of Part A. It helps to figure out how much you need for each part so you don't waste resin.
3. Microwave the molds on High for one minute. This helps the resin cure.
4. Add equal parts of Part B...mix well. (You've got between four and five minutes before this stuff cures)
5. Pour the resin into the molds. Tap the molds against the table to dislodge any air bubbles. (Helps to think when you pour to prevent air bubbles)
6. Watch as it starts to cure.
7. Almost fully cured.
8. I gave it a couple more minutes to cure then started removing the winch from the mold.
9. Winch fresh from the mold. A little sanding on the back side and she's ready to paint and install.
10. Removing the skull from its mold.

The original part and a few replicas.

The skull on the far left in the 2nd pic has been cleaned up.

Pretty easy and takes about 5 minutes to make a part.

Making the mold doesn't take too long, just have to let the silicone cure overnight.

Super kit.

The smaller kit is 1/4 the amount of the Super kit at 1/2 the price.

Super kit is a better buy.

That looks awesome. We used to have a few examples of things made with Alumilite at work. The coolest one was one of the mixing cups filled up and then poured out right before the Alumilite cured. It looked pretty sweet.

Is this the same product NAO/Panasonic uses for those recaro seats he makes? Try a universal mold release, silicone brush on release or bees wax from the hardware store and the parts just slips out really easy. Not to mention you preserve the life of the silicone mold.
