Shucks, the way 1:1 wheel sizes keep increasing each year 2.2's will soon be more scale than 1.9ers

I think the norm is 17" wheels with a fair amount of 18's in there.

My Bronc has 39.5's on 15's and I can tell you that my friends Bronc with 39.5's on 17's feels much more stable at low tire pressures. I'd switch but the 17" IROK's are narrower and I don't like the look as well.

It all depends on the body you use. 1/8 scale bodies like the HPI Bronco or Defender look pretty silly on 1.9's, but a set of narrowed 2.2's look right at home under there. But those same 2.2's are way oversized for a Clod body. You can even get away with 2.2's on a 1/6 build (I know they scale out to 13, but they look right).

I like narrowed Claws on widened 1.9 rims.

foe dee foes are not a common tire on a weekend warrior truck, but that trucks not scale at all, youre taillights are clear and your driver is near nekkid. it was said somewhere that a clod body looks near outrageous with 2.2s but the same 2.2s will look great like that toyota above. scale appearance to the truck it what everyones after.

but is AWESOME!!

It all depends on the scale size of your body and what look you are going for. Not all bodies are 1/10 scale.

Also see this :
What do you aim for on your 2.2 scale ?
