| Ideas needed for mounting body
I am mounting an f-100 body on a k2-3l chassis.I'll be using a soft top on the bed (of course !!!) . I want to mount it without the plastic pins sticking through the hood. I can fab stuff,so thats not a big deal. If you have some pics post'em. I need to get this thing done before the oklahoma comp. in october |

That would be simple... Does the velcro glue do anything to the paint? I'm thinkin of some tiny little hood pins at the corners of the hood. Then I could use my "fab" skills |

exactly, you want a large contact area from the tape and not the velcro. welcro would probably stick alot better to tape too.

Also use duct tape anywhere a body panel will contact a tube frame, etc.

You can also use screws to hold the body down they are far less noticable then pins. Couple near the license plate could look like license plate lights.

My brother uses a ballend in the rear bumper (resembles a Trailer ball) to mount his body.

i'm still woring on it. i like this idea too. i've made a tube bumper for the front of the truck it would hide screws pretty well. i'm trying to make a soft top for it too. so the rear mounts could 'nt be under the top unless i did the velcro option. |
