Default CVD and 1.9 RC4WD Beadlock Problem

Just got some 1.9 wheels in from RC4WD and noticed that the center hole on the wheel is too small for the cvd. Should I just drill out the hole on the wheels? Or do I need to switch over to non-cvd's?

the cvd's dont fit through any wheel..you have to drill the wheel out to make them fit...

That's not true they fit through 2.2's without drilling.

Thanks just didn't want to start drilling without confirming first.

They have had a couple different size holes for the axles to pass through. Certain sets where different. The answer is most definately to make the smaller diameter larger to accomidate the CVD's.

Please post some pics to show others this? Good luck.

Are you going to put the center cap on? With the size of the CVD screw, you may have to alter the center cap's backside. I had to, just to get them to fit over a locknut.

You will need to cut off the end of the cvd aswell. Otherwise you cant run the center cap.

Yeah, I still want to use the center caps. Thanks for the info. I'll probably get to work on them tomorrow.

Well, how did it go? Let's see the wheels mounted already.

It didn't go. I ended up pulling out my cvds to use on an upcoming tuber and installed the RC4WD 303 steel axle kit in its place. So no drilling required.

I usually just use my body reamer to enlarge the hole.
