has anyone used one in a scale build because the sortof look like a transfer case if u have the lower half hanging down and are they better than a pede tranny

I used one in a 1.9 build. The only real problem i found with it was the high center of gravity. It lead to tipping over a lot. Other than that i found it to be great.
