| 2010 Team Spec TorqueMaster Pro's now available! Looking for that extra boost of power to bump your rig up that tough climb? When you need some serious brushed motor power, leave it to my team of drivers to come up with just the ticket while still keeping a reliable motor . Many drivers have chosen slightly less powerful motors than is possible, and this is the result. While there are a few more tweaks that can be done to push even more power through a 35t, we found that they reduced the motor life and made competing a bit of a motor maintenance chore. Enjoy the fruits of our collective labor We have about 50 motors and 50 extra armatures made up. Once these are gone we will not make another 2010 Team Spec TorqueMaster If you currently have a TorqueMaster Pro, these armatures will fit and give you a small speed and power boost. The non technical bottom line These have superb low speed resolution, enough wheelspeed for 2 or 3s lipo use, and more power than most crawlers need. They are very suitable for supers that have high rollout, but work just as well in your 2.2 or 1.9 rig too. The building team involved in these motors has over 50 years of 540 brushed motor experience, the most in the world! The raw specs- * 35t single with 20.5ga wire * 1.4mm thick can with minimal venting and two slotted (aka 4 magnet) high-power FB9 wet magnets for power and low speed control * Standup Brush and 7.5mm Comm- Maximizes torque and motor longevity * Gold plated copper brush hood to resist corrosion and provide lowest resistance * 4mm web 3 slot armature- Balances torque and power * Dual Ball bearings * Adjustable timing * 0.55mm Heavy springs for consistent drag brake * Neutrally timed for no risk of improper installation (but we can time them upon request) Every motor carries a 30 day warranty to cover manufacturing defects. Some stock may have slight scratching on the can due to the "new old stock" used for the can. When you want the best 540 motor, choose the TorqueMaster Pro! http://holmeshobbies.com/product.php...5&cat=0&page=1 Last edited by JohnRobHolmes; 11-15-2010 at 11:25 AM. |

John - These look v interesting. Sorry for a bunch of questions: Are these available in matched pairs to for Berg/AR10 setups? Will this do anything for the low speed resolution? Can they cope with 4S in my super? Cheers |

I can timing match them for free, that is no problem. I would just need a note in the order. These will have slightly better low speed resolution as compared to a standard TorqueMaster Pro, because of the slotted magnets. 4s will be pushing it, but is acceptable if you are OK with the very fast wear. I would recommend about 10 to 12 degrees of timing for 4s use. So we have lots of buying, but little posting 16 gone over the weekend. |

Should these motors be fairly easy to spin with no power applied? I am running dual sidewinders, bec, dx3e with moa hack, and brand new motors and I am having drag break problems. The motors are easy to spin, and I didn't know if that was normal?? I calibrated the esc's 1 at a time, running v1.24, drag break at 213. Any suggestions? |

They are easier to spin that a typical non slotted magnet. What size and type of rig?

It is a 5 lb even berg with team spec 35 turns, 12t/13t pinions 6"rovers, 2 sidewinders, 1 bec, and dx3e with moa hack. I just calibrated the esc's 1 at a time before they were soldered together.

That is the beast of the slotted magnet, drag brake gets weaker. You can either gear down a bit, or get an ESC with stronger drag like my TorqueMaster.

So gearing down will help drag break? I did not know that. Is the brxl as smooth as the sidewinder since the 1.08 release? That was the only reason I switched from the brxl.

It is as smooth, although we have an issue in quiet mode right now. Gearing down does help drag, as it makes the motor turn faster for a given wheelspeed. The faster the motor turns, the better leverage it has against the tires. |

Does the brxl have a better brake than the micro pro, or tekin fxr?

Better drag brake? It has a lower resistance, so it should have a slight edge. With the Hold enabled it will stomp any ESC otherwise.
