| Hyperion chargers Holmes Hobbies carries the full line of Hyperion Chargers and Balancers. They are hands down the easiest to use on the market, with great track records for reliability and construction quality. Hyperion 0606i The big brother to the 5i, with AC input and integrated balancing. Easy 4 button design. If you are using a lot of lipo packs this charger/balancer is for you. Hyperion 0610i This is the big daddy of the series. DC only input, 250W charging capable, with integrated balancing. If you want to charge at high amperages this is your charger. Uses memory functions to charge, so it isn't quite as quick to set up a new pack as the 5i and 0606i. Last edited by JohnRobHolmes; 08-18-2008 at 11:37 AM. |

I had an ICE a Triton2 and now a 6i... I got rid of the ICE and use the Triton2 as backup yeah, the 6i is that good. The built in balancer makes charging lipos a breeze... By far the easiest and best charger I have ever owned! I might just pick up another to replace the Triton2 |

I use the 5i on the road and the 06i at home. Lipos don't need balancing EVERY charge, and the 5i is stinkin tiny.

I felt so self indulgent when I got my second charger for the road. Heck, I own a dang hobby store and still only have 3 mamba max's. Two were from the first batch out of Castle too It is nice to leave the heavy charger at home though. The 5i isn't much thicker than the pack of cards. |

John, You are killing me...I have Comp Electronics GFX, Pitbull and a Venom Balancer. I was eyeing the 10i and 5i up for the same reason you stated. I see you only have one 10i...will you be getting more? Need to see what I can dump this weekend at the Winter Monster Bash... |

Here's a link to the user manuals. Definitely worth looking into when I head up to lipos. Will you be eventually be doing a full review at some point? http://media.hyperion.hk/dn/eos/ Last edited by Teapot; 01-06-2008 at 11:04 AM. |

I'd say either the 5i or the 06i, but pretty much any of them would be good.

I've been eyeing the 6i cause I'm in the market for a charger. My 5yr old intellipeak wasn't worth a flip 5 yrs ago and I'm wanting to go lipo soon. I'd like to see a review on the 6i.

Finally got to digging into my package from Holmes Hobbies. John, These chargers are the best. Easy setup and use. All the power and options I will ever need. The 10i is so easy to use. I had a GFX that took more time to set than it did to charge. This thing gets up up and running within 10 mins and that is just setting up your profiles. The 5i is a fully capable "portable" charger. No frills just get the cells charged. Not to say that the 10i is not portable. I was shocked when it arrived. My GFX was huge. Thanks for offering another great product. John |

The only new batteries I have is a 3 cell 2100 and this Hyperion 0606i works that like a champ.

The Hyperion is performing as good or better with less programming. The 6i, from what I understand, is even less programming for more than half the cost of a GFX. It is a no brainer.
