Default Your thoughts on these

What woudl you guys think of getting a couple sets of these at some point to try and see how the different offsets would work on a WK? They look like they should bolt right up

WK's are way to wide as it is. Remember gate markers are 20" wide. Having a narrower truck allows you to thread the needle better. You have a large choice of several lines not just one or two through the markers. Really handy if you get crossed up near a marker. With a 2.2 it's hardly noticable as the whole truck can almost slide through sideways. With supers every inch matters and is noticed.

Remember also the farther you go out from the stub the worse your steering gets. Rocks can move the servo more freely as the leverage is increased. Your ackerman gets all screwed up as well.

The wider you go the more you get hung up on things. Instead of the tire rolling over the rock, now the rock misses the tire and is sent down the middle. With the large low diffs of Wk axles that isn't what you need.

Go as narrow as possible as wide as necessary.

Those in your link look as though they fit 23MM hexes, which are the larger 40 series wheels.

x2, you don't need to make the WK axles any wider than they already are.

Won't be legal for comps unless you got into the super class. WK axles are not really stong enough for super class duty.

What would it take to make them that strong then?

Pretty much every hopup available. The first would be upgraded shafts and hard diffs and even at that point I'm not sure it would survive. The money you would put into the axles to bring them up to snuff could be used to buy a set of better suited axles. Super class stuff takes way more abuse. Trucks are heavier, 2 steer axles, massive tires, power plant is usually doubled as a result.

I figured if I try it, I'd start kinda basic and work my way up from there as stuff breaks.

Yeah at the worst you will have bullet proof axles. Really though to stay competitive or consistant in super here in the midwest you really need a Clod. Many have had shaftys then sold them at the end of the year as they just can't keep up with the clods in the standings.

This wouldn't be a comp rig, it would be another basher like the one I ran last Saturday, just a bit bigger.
