ground clearence will be the biggest issue if you have a stock chassis, but a droop will lower your cog big time (plus) i have a droop on my wk.

I drove my friend's stock chasis WK half way set up for droop (no springs in the shocks). With the battery up front, even without the springs, it climbed and worked nicely. If you want to see what it's kinda going to be like, just take the springs off your current setup to get a rough idea.

id make a widow and droop it but i, and i dont know much, wouldnt do it with a stock chassis, it would not have any ground clearance. but thats me i like to crawl/bash so you have to have springs.

na i am very close to building my widow chassis and it wasn't hard at all. very cheap too. i think the entire chassis conversion was only around 40-50 bucks and the most expensive part was the t-maxx drive shafts. but I must say having the right tools do do it helps tons too. i cut my chassis out of cutting board using a dremel equipped with a side scroll bit and mounted in a drill press jig. made short work of cutting out the templates. then just drill your holes (recommend stacking the templates and drilling them at the same time) cut out your skid using a miter block and your good to go. its easy trust me. if i can do it anyone can.

In February editon of R/C Car they had a wheely king crawler conversion and put droop on the wk with a stock chassis and it supposedly crawled great.
