| My WK is out of commssion! ESC suggestions?
My stock esc finally fried! Smelled pretty good too! I need to get a new esc, and I am leaning toward the LRP A.I. Runner at Tower Hobbies for $39.99. I have heard they are not as torquey as the stock WK esc....I like the fact its waterproof. I am currenly running 96/15 gearing and a t-600 motor thats 22turns. Any good words about the LRP esc? Any other recommendations? My budget is hopefully around $30-$50, and I wanna get it at Tower Hobbies as I have a coupon for $20 off. Thanks in advance... |

I thought I read somewhere the Moped vr16 is ok but you get what you pay for...I think I read somewhere in another forum some people have had theirs blow after just a few pack through... I am leaning toward the LRP just because its waterproof, but then the Novak XRS seems more reliable. |

i have the lrp ai runner in my trail rig...... it works but not that great, waterproof is what sold me on it too....... it sems to glitch a bit, but i dont know if it is because i am running dual 7 cell hump packs or what..... even running a single 7 cell, it still glitches.......... if you want waterproof & bulletproof (so far almost a year) try the MTRONICS Viper Marine 40 ....... i put that in my other rig as a temp when i fried my rebel 2, havent wanted to swap it out for anything else yet, and the good part about it is WATERPROOF...... right about the same price as the lrp also......

| NO! Had one and it was pos from day one....never did work properly with reverse and all no matter how it was setup and kinda glitchy. Save a lil bit more and get a decent esc. It burned up after about a month. Novak has been good to me over the years, quality stuff. Haven't heard alot good about LRP, but never used one. Castle Creations has good support and quality. get the sidewinder. its well worth it. the lrp had a really bad delay reverse, not even a double tap. the mtroniks rv is a bette esc i think but the reverse is slow. i love my sidewinder, im goin to get another one soon.

My stock ESC burned up the first day and I replaced it with an XRS. I've been happy with it, but I'm new to this and don't have much to compare it to. |

How good is the Novak Rooster Crawler/55T Motor Combo. You can get it from tower right now for $109. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXTJD6&P=ML |

I'd save up for the Novak Rooster Crawler (~$90) (actaully, I am saving up for it), programable, bec, brake, all you need for a crawler! |

The Rooster crawler is nice but way out of my budget...plus I don't do too much crawling...mostly trail and bashing around. I am leaning towards duratrax or the Novak XRS...since some of you said the LRP glitches...and is under powered...
