Default 6-32 or 4-40

In the HPI Stage 1 expansion, the photo says they are using 6-40 all thread to extend the shafts, but that is not on their parts list. So is it 4-40 or 6-32?

Yes don't use 6-32 they will not stay in th ends. use 8-32 they would much better. If you do use 8-32 you will have to drill the alum tubes bigger but thats not a problem.

I used Dubro Heavy Duty Ball Links they are self threading for 6-32, they are great so far for me and they are tough as nails.
Hope that helps for the 6-32 for you.

Here's a link to them at Tower Hobbies:

Revo ends work great with #8 all thread.

1/4" brake line works nice as a sleeve for #8 also.

I've got some Traxxass ends that work with #6 Don't ask me a part number though I bought several bags that were in a clearance bin at my LHS a loooong time ago and have been using them as needed. I mostly use them for shock ends and 2.2 links. I use Revo and Jato ends for my super as they both can be used with #8. I feel #8 is the minimum for a super. I've even used #10 on my supers when the links get longer that 6-7 inches. Specially lowers, since they are essentially skids. If you want a bit beefier links on a 2.2,#8 will be a good size to use.
