Default comp style scaler

I need help on this.. I know theres lots of wk that look scale but I've noticed that they can't compete againts comp vehicles like the widow chassis and the blackjack , so I want to make a scale wk that can compete againt the comp style wk and axials so I need help on what would be good, I have the proline 8 shooter and the flat irons, scale looking but great traction, what about the ripper7racing chassis? is that good one or would the templates off of offroader5 work? cuz I've seen so much comp and scale but nothing in the middle, so thank if you can comment back

The HellCAT WK7 from Ripper7Racing is a great chassis. I've competed against Ripper at several TXRCO comps and that chassis simply walks away from my stock WK.

Not to threadjack too much, but does anyone run 1.9's on a WK scaler? To me it seems the axles are too wide for a good looking 1.9 scaler.

they wont look all too well on the large wk axles. your bette roff with tlt axles for scale builds. not to say it cant be done. but. too wide for the occasion IMHO. the ripper chassis is second to none though when it comes to stock chassis replacement. Rip's a great guy and easy to work with.

You're not going to get the performance of a comp chassis out of a scale chassis. They are built totally different which is why you never see comp winner with a MFM or an Xtrail. It just doesn't work that way.

well I've seen with my own eyes of 1:1 rigs a jeep that that wooped a hand built tube chassis comp rock crawler, who says that it can't work for us? I've got friends with toyotas and jeeps that aren't all decked out and costumized, but they can beat alot of people with comp style rigs.
it just takes the right driver and the rifgt stuff
