WK axle mount batteries

Sorry this is long and full of questions.

Currently i am running a RC Guy servo mount on the front axle. I am thinking about going with saddle pack batteries and mounting them to the front axle. I am looking for feed back on this or if i should stick with the stock style batteries. Also i was looking through the servo templates and notice that it looked like some people were mounting their servos with Velcro. How does that hold up? I also have a question about the torque of the steering with the servo mounted in the center?
