| WK Basher/Crawler Build
Hello, this is my first real RC truck (vs all the walmart specials every kid has) and I wanted to build it into a crawler but still be able to have fun bashing it. I had a few pictures on here earlier but I figure it'd be easier if they were all in one thread. Stretched WB as soon as I got it After a few more modifacations: -Moab M2's with star cut foams in the front and unmolested foams in the back -Stampede wheels dyed black -Novak XRS ESC -Hitech 645mg servo on a template I found on here -Carbon arrow suspension/steering links -TQ3 radio -RC Guy Lockers Sorry the pictures arent the best quality. It's still a work in progress. I am now working on a tube chassis for it and I should have pictures of it completed in the next few days, but I dont know how long it will last because I didnt do the best job on it (first time). I would really like to try a stock ax10 chassis, so if anyone has tried that tell me how it works as I would like to keep a body on the truck. Thanks for looking, and all comments/criticism is welcome. |

here is the tube chassis I was working on completed. I dont think I will be using it as it was poorly planned but didnt turn out half bad, it just doesnt work like I had hoped it would. I think I'm going to try to find an ax10 stock chassis to work with, so if anyone knows where to find one reasonable cheap and if anyone makes a 76-79 style ford f-150 truck body that will fit it, let me know Thanks |

| http://www.hpiracing.com/pitstoptipposts/138/ its about halfway down the page its pretty easy, I didnt use any 4-40 allthread because I used Revo rod ends so I used 8-32 and found some tubing to go over it and instead of lengthening the steering linkage I built a servo mount for the axle |

| Thanks, and I would use it if it would work better for me. I kinda rushed into making it and just found out while trying to put it together that I forgot about a lot of things to make it work. For one, the mount for the engine is pretty lame and would cause some wierd driveshaft angles and the mounts for the links cause binding in the suspension. Overall the design came out good but it doesnt work like it should.
