| Over heating Way to much
just got threw putting the electronics back in my truck and i threw a 6 cell 2400 nimh pack that i have been running for quite a while and it started smoking i figured it was my dean to tamiya adapter well i tried another battery without adapter and it done the same thing im ruining batterys what do i do?

Unless there's a dead short somewhere in your wiring, I would suspect you're drawing too many amps due to a bad motor, or binding in your drivetrain somewhere. Could be too tight of a gear mesh issue, or severe drag somewhere else at the wheels, trans or driveshafts. Pull the motor and check for burnt brushes, discolored comm surfaces, and then check the rest of the truck to make sure everything spins freely. If that all checks out, reinstall the motor and set your gear mesh so there's just a small amount of wiggle when moving the spur back and forth. Hope that helped, and good luck . T.D. |
