Default my wheelie king

i started converting my wheelie king to a crawler:
so far i've locked the rear diff, put in a HPI 65 turn motor, made longer upper and lower links, made my own servo mount for ontop of the diff and put on tmaxx driveshafts, heres some pics of it:

some flex pics:

servo mount:

motor:

theres still a few things i want to do, lock front diff, 4 wheel steer, pro line bead lock rims, pro line flat iron tyres, new body, not too sure what body yet, probably something similar to my savage(background of second pic).

I would flip the chassis around(puts the weight up front) and upgrade those steering links. TCS has a good steering kit.

i was thinking about just leaving the chassis and just getting a new battery like a saddle pack and just put on the front somewhere and then when i get new wheels i will also put some weight in the wheels?
yeah i am def making new steering links.

alright, i got carried away in my other hobbies and didnt do much to my wk, i got it out the other day and have did a few more mods, new body(not a new one, just an old one i had lying around so i cut it up), locked front diff, made new steering links, replaced my lower links that i 1st made out of and arrow with solid aluminium round bar, i took the battery box and the plate that the reciver sits on out and replaced it with a flat piece of stainless where the esc use to be and mounted esc and reciever on it. so next thing to do is, work out a new battery set up, i am putting battery where the receiver originally was, my options are use normal batter and just cable tie sideways across the top of the chassis or split a 6 cell into 2 lots of 3 cells, or get one of those lipo batteries, i think they are called lipo, are they just the same as a battery out of a minizilla or a mini-T? if so, how much run time can you get out of one of these little batteries.

here are some pics:

next things to do are work out battery set up, stronger steering servo, new wheels

Looks great man ,I like the arrow idea. I might make some camo slider covers for my links!
It is possible to fit a 2/3a cell split pack on the axles. I am not sure how good it would fit on there with the shocks in that position. You could ziptie them to your upper links. I made some plexiglass link plates for my rigs.I had mine like that for a while. But if you have a lipo charger the lipos are smaller and lighter and easy to fit places. I have a losi mini-t pack that is 7.4v and 2000mah. On my MRC it last about 2 + hours. On my AX 10 it last 45+ minutes. The lipos take more care with charging and discharging and if your not familiar with the it would be a good idea to read up on them. Maxamps.com has some great info on them. Talk at ya soon.

I dont know about that servo mount. It would be easier to mount things like batteries and esc out front if you made one that was more compact. Here is a pic of mine.

Just a suggestion.

Makes it alot easier to build around.

i changed from the arrows to aluminium rod because i just couldnt get the rod ends to stay in the arrows,i tried several differnt glues, loctite and arakdite and none would work, so i just changed to the alluminium, they will never fail.

yeah i dont really like the servo mount, its pritty chunky, it was just something that i made out of an old piece of stainless which i dodgely cut out with an angle grinder.
