Default New to the crawling scene.

Hello all. Well after seeing and hearing about "crawling" over and over and my local hobby shop dedicating a part of the store to crawlers I decided to give this aspect of R/C a try. I have been in R/C a long time but mostly backyard bashing and primarily 1/10 nitro touring racing so this is all new. I picked up a Wheelie King, a HPI crawler conversion and some other hop ups and here is what I have so far.

If you want to crawl I would suggest tummy tucking it for better ground clearence and also clocking the link mounts backwards at 90* so they dont get hung up on rocks.
Like so

you can kind of see the link mouts here.
Didnt fit with the rear with my body so I had to sacrifice it.
What ya goin to do with those thrashers.

Pardon my ignorance as I am new to this sport. What is "tummy tucking" and "clocking the link mounts at 90" mean and the work required? Thank you for the comment and input.

That "clocking the link", is that just a matter of taking out the 2 screws that hold the steering block on and rotating it forward and replacing the screws?

Hate to jump in late....but since you're using the HPI Crawler Conversion your link mounts dont need to be clocked. The stock link mounts perform much better after being clocked 90 degrees but the redesigned mounts in the conversion kit were designed with the "clocking" already built in.
