Isn't that just a WK with the HPI crawler conversion already installed for you pretty much?

Yeah it looks like they are just marketing a WK with the HPI FULL crawler conversion kit minus the reduction unit but you get a 55T motor. Not a bad RTR package if you don't feel like installing the conversion and it nicely markets the WK as a very viable option as a choice for a crawler. I only say this because I have actually had people ask me in my area if the WK is a good crawler. It's mostly because they think the WK is just another monster truck where as most of the other options actually say "crawler" on their respective packages hehe.

yea I have a 1:1 offroad mag and it kinda hinted at the release of this. they did a review of different offroad trucks and this was one of them and they said that it would be released soon

I guess they are trying to target those folks with more money than time. I just saw some more details on this truck on another site. Looks like it has been released as of this month.

It's too bad HPI doesn't just redesign the WK chassis to be more of a viable crawler chassis option. At least try and come close to what the AX10 has done. The axles are fine as far as I'm concerned, but to reuse the chassis and paint it black, really does nothing. But to some kid just starting out, I guess it would work. It is like that episode of the Simpsons where Malibu Stacy gets a new hat and all of a sudden " shes's completely different ". I would like to try out the Rock Grabbers tho |

I don't think that they should make the Wheely King like the AX-10... Because it's a monster truck. Plain and simple. And if someone wants to use "monster truck" axles to make a comp crawler out of, then more power to them. But the Wheely King is modeled after a monster truck and should stay that way. TOM |
