Default WK tranny noise

I have a 35T motor on my highly modified WK. When I drive forward it is noisy and makes a loud whining, screaming sound. When I go in reverse its quiet. Any ideas on what it is. I'm guessing its the tranny but I did not take it apart to look yet.

Thanks
Brian

Unhook the motor. Take the wheels off and use a drill to turn the axles.
See if it does the same.

You can also unhook drive shafts and check differentals for binding, noise, clicking on each axle that way.

Maybe a bad bearing....
