I believe Integy just came out with a HD ring and pinion, and HPI has a HD ring and pinion - I think from the firestorm that will fit.

Hey guys I am interested too. The last time I bought hardened ring and pinion gears i paid over $50 for both axles. Prob is now I have 2 more axles that need hd gears. Post up some links to parts that are known to fit if u can. I am on my way to building a 6x6 and want to be sure my axles wont have the soft stock gears

The CKRC tranny gears hold up great to regular crawling. Just stay away from crazy brushless setups!! Here is the part # for the HPI HD gears. 86336 , taken from page 30 of the manual. I used them in my front axle and never had a problem with them. |

My aluminum tranny gears are still holding up great. I put them through rediculous amounts of abuse. They even helped me get 3rd place at the AWCC! TOM |

The only difference is the inner diameter of the inside recess of the ring gear is about 1mm larger on the Axial stuff. So if you buy a heavy duty spool/carrier (Felsenfest, Super 300) You will have to do some dremel work on the HPI gears. The bolt pattern and everything else is identical. No to mention, all the heavy duty gear sets are 5mm on the pinion shaft. So buy a set of MIP driveshafts for an AX-10, and then the 6mm ends (part number 8137) TOM |

I've got 12/93 gearing with a 12turn Cobalt Puller on 3S lipo. You think YOU have torque, HA! But yeah, back onto tranny gears. The aluminum gears aren't the sweetest most indestructible gears, but they are the best one's on the market for the money. TOM |
