| my WK so far
well, ive been workin on this for about 4 days now and this is how far ive gotten...all i still need is a steering rod so it is drivable...any suggestions on what to buy to make my truck better? thanks Let me know what you think! |

nice truck, looks good, just buy some links and make your own custom one to fit how u want

looks good....... what i did temporarily for steering was mounted the servo to the axle & screwed the servo arm directly into the stock plastic arm just so i could test & play with it...... before i made my servo mount, i rigged up a longer link outta 1/8" rod to replace the stock steering link (from the center of the chassis to the axle servo saver/pivot ball......

WhellyKing3, My sugestion would be read the thread about steering servo mounts and do that mod next. Make your steering links from 8-32 all thread and ball ends. Mount can be made of 1/8" aluminum. Would be my first step. Then I'd make upper links and attach at the top of the pumpkin.

4x4dodge, i use these for the lower links Traxxas #5143 Turnbuckels (5.0mm steel) (rear) (2) im not sure what to use for the upper links though, i was thinking about trying some A-arms, but not sure yet. |
